Invite parents into the class

Each parent gets an invitation by email, at their own address, for their own child. The parent creates no password: they receive a sign-in link.

Send the invitation

Send the invitation to the parent's email address from the student's page. Invitations you have sent then appear under "Invitations sent", with their status: "Pending", "Accepted" or "Expired".

Until you have sent anything, the list reads "No invitations sent yet."

Follow up and resend

A "Pending" invitation has not been accepted yet. Tap "Resend" to send it a second time. To cancel an invitation that went to the wrong address, tap "Withdraw invitation".

Unblock a parent

Here is what the parent sees, and what you do in each case.

Resend the invitation. The parent sees: "This invitation link has expired. Ask the teacher to send you a new one."

The parent has already joined the class. They simply need to sign in, not join a second time.

The parent is signed in with a different address

The invitation is tied to one specific address. If the parent is using another account, LinoClass tells them: "This invitation was sent to a different email address than the one you are signed in with." There are two ways out, and the parent picks: sign in with the invited address, or ask you for an invitation to the address they normally use.

The parent receives nothing

The link arrives by email. Have them check the junk folder, then confirm the address letter by letter before resending. A mistyped address is the most common cause.

tip

An address typed with capitals works. LinoClass treats "Parent@example.com" and "parent@example.com" as one and the same address.

What the parent sees next

Opening the link, the parent sees "Add your child" and their child's name. They enter their email, get a sign-in link, and land in the class. No password is created.
