Follow your child's portfolio and weeks
This page is for parents. In your space, two pages show your child's work. "Portfolio" gathers all their creations. "Weeks" goes through them week by week, with the teacher's notes, the activities and the class announcements.
Browse the portfolio
Tap "Portfolio" in the menu. The creations show in a grid, newest first. Every tile carries the date. Two filters sit above the grid.
- "All dates" offers "Today", "Last 7 days", "Last 30 days", "This month" and "All".
- "All types" lets you tick "Photo", "Video", "Audio" or "Drawing".
An observation written by the teacher shows as a text tile, with its title, when it has one, then the opening of the text. If the school shows the developmental domains to families, a row of domains appears too, with "All domains" first. One sentence explains it: "Domains are the teacher's observation markers, not results."
Tap a tile to open the creation large and read the comments. If the school allows it, you can leave one. The "Download" button saves the file on your device. On a computer, it appears on the tile when the mouse passes over it. A written observation has no file, so no button.
If the grid says "No creations found" and "Your child's work will appear here", the teacher has not shared anything yet, or your filters are too tight. Go back to "All dates" and "All types".
Revisit a week
Tap "Weeks" in the menu. On a phone, that choice is in the side menu, not in the bottom bar. The "Weeks" page lists the weeks where something was added, the most recent at the top. Each card carries the Monday's day in a small square, then the dates of the week as one phrase, for example: August 17 to 23. The current week has a yellow square and carries "This week". Until a week has something to show, the page reads "No weeks to show yet."
Tap a card. The week's page starts with a sentence that sums it up, then four sections, present only when they have something to show.
- "Their work", the photos, drawings, videos, sounds and observations of the week. Tap one to open it.
- "Notes from the teacher", their comments on your child's work, signed and dated.
- "Activities", the activities your child handed in.
- "Class announcements", every announcement of the week. The ones that carry "Important" are the ones you also received right away.
"All weeks" at the top of the page returns to the list. A week with nothing new shows "Nothing was added this week." The week was loaded; nothing was added to it.
Every week where something was added stays open. A week you did not read at the time is still in the list, even if the email that announced it was deleted.
The email of the week
When a week brought something new, LinoClass sends you an email. It says the week is ready and gives the link to its page. The content of the week is read in LinoClass, once signed in. A week with nothing new sends no email.
To choose the day or stop that email, open "Notifications" in the menu, then the "Summary email" section. The "Weekly summary" switch turns it on or off. Under it, "Send day" offers Friday, Saturday or Sunday. LinoClass adds "The email is sent in the morning, around 9 a.m."
Frequently asked questions
"Child not found" shows when the page opens.
The link does not lead to a child attached to your account. LinoClass adds "Check the link or contact the teacher." Start again from the menu, or ask the teacher for a new invitation link.
No row of domains appears on the portfolio.
Your school decides that setting. While it is off, the domains stay within the teaching team.
Can everything be downloaded at once?
Not for now. The "Download" button saves one creation at a time, from its tile or its page.
